I just realized that the majority of this article is a collection of your reflections from a rally that happened 5 years ago. Like most democrats, you only have 2 issues: Trump and abortion. You spent some time/space on the Committment to America, which I looked up, and there it was. Your information, as usual, was incorrect.

Why are you and so many democrats focusing on Trump? Because you have nothing else. Because you're hoping against hope that he runs again in 2024 against whomever your devolving party puts up. Personally, I'm hoping it's Joe Biden, because whoever the Republicans run will beat that old geezer.

Why is the 'unborn' in quotations? Do you think they don't exist? What exactly is a human before it's born if not "unborn"? Perhaps your view on abortion is in line with your party's: all abortion, all the time. Decide in week 40 of your pregnancy that you really don't want this baby? No problem--it's not "born" if it's subjected to the atrocities of an abortion procedure. At least, that's the way it is in NYS.

On Friday, a reporter tried to pin that binder-reading airhead Karine Jean-Pierre on when exactly does Joe Biden think is an appropriate length of time for a pregnancy before abortion ? The majority of Americans have no problem with abortions in the first trimester https://apnews.com/article/only-on-ap-us-supreme-court-abortion-religion-health-2c569aa7934233af8e00bef4520a8fa8

So do I. But what does the president think? Why won't he commit to a number so people know where he stands? I'll tell you why--because no matter what he says, if he doesn't say "up to birth" the progressives in the party for whom abortion is a religion will revolt. If the majority of Americans have a problem with abortion beyond the first trimester, Biden's response doesn't sync with that.

What's wrong with "curbing government spending"? Might be a great way to reduce inflation, at least according to Larry Summers, Obama's Treasury Secretary. And as far as cutting taxes, how do you explain the the CHIPS Act, of which Dems are so proud, includes big tax breaks for semiconductor chip manufacturers? https://www.politico.com/news/2022/07/23/democrats-consolation-prize-on-taxes-00047257

I appreciate that you believe the GOP is running on "issues rather than insults". That's certainly a nice change of pace from the Commander-in-Chief, who regularly insults and smears all Republicans as "semi-fascists". https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/columnist/2022/09/01/biden-speech-democratic-politics-not-unity/7958433001/?gnt-cfr=1

Here's to hoping he and the Democrats pay dearly for that.
